Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s inflation rate dropped to 2.4% in October, compared to 17.5% in the year-ago period.
Monthly, the North African country’s inflation increased by 1% to 105.1 points in October, from 104 points in September.
Egyptian inflation rate recorded 9.6% from January to October in 2018, according to a report released by Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
In October, inflation in urban areas increased to 1% monthly and to 3.1% annually, while monthly and annual inflation in rural areas reached 1% and 1.7%, respectively.
