Egypt’s balance of trade deficit narrows 11.8% in Oct

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s balance of trade deficit drifted lower by 11.8% in October 2015 to EGP 34.16 billion, compared with EGP 38.74 billion for the corresponding period of the previous year, said the state-run statistics body.

The decline in trade deficit is due to the growth of exports by 3.2% to EGP 13.1 billion in October 2015, from EGP 12.7 billion for the same period of 2014, according to (CAPMAS).

Meanwhile, imports have went down by 8.1% to EGP 47.26 billion, compared with EGP 51.43 billion in the same month of 2014.
