Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will start the ban on selling live poultry in the governorates of Cairo and Giza as of 1 April 2019, pursuant of Law No. 70 of 2009, according to the agriculture ministry’s spokesperson.
The law is aimed at protecting the safety of the poultry industry in Egypt and the health of the Egyptian people, Hamed Abdeldayem said.
The agriculture ministry stated earlier that the law, which prohibits the trade of all living birds, will be effective and whose first phase will be applied in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria.
