Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s local-currency deposits rose 28% year-on-year in May to EGP 2.24 trillion by from EGP 1.75 trillion.
Banks deposits fell slightly on a monthly basis, as compared with nearly EGP 2.26 trillion at the end of April, data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed on Monday.
It is worth noting that Egypt’s international reserves increased to $44.138 billion at the end of May from $44.029 billion in December 2017.
