Cairo – Mubasher: The business volume of Egypt’s banking sector has exceeded EGP 3 trillion, said Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tarek Fayed.
“The banking sector achieves remarkable growth rates in respect to liquidity, capital adequacy and profitability,” added Fayed.
The local assets of the banking sector grew by 25% reaching EGP 2.296 trillion by the end of September 2016, compared with EGP 1.839 trillion for the same period of the previous year.
Moreover, the local liquidity increased by 18% recording EGP 2.185 trillion by the end of September 2016.
