Egypt's bourse, banks close Sunday on New Year's Eve

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian stock market and central bank decided to halt their activities on Sunday to celebrate the new year, according to a statement.

Activities will be directly resumed on 2 January 2017, the statement added.

EGX indices closed Thursday on mixed note, while market capitalization gained EGP 321 million.

On a yearly basis, the bourse recorded its all-time high after gaining nearly 76.2% or 5,339 points during 2016.
