Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) erased its early gains on Wednesday, to close on negative note as the benchmark index EGX30 added 0.98% or 131.66 points to close at 13,304.44 points.
The small and medium caps index EGX70 slide 1.19% to close at 475.8 points, while the equal weighted index EGX50 slipped 1.85% to close at 2,052.7 points.
The broader index EGX100 went down 0.61% to close at 162.4 points.
The market witnessed 650.9 million shares changed hands worth EGP 2.1 billion.
The market capitalization shed EGP 5.97 billion reaching EGP 631.87 billion.
Local and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 88.7 million and EGP 34.9 million respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 123.6 million.
