Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices closed on mixed note on Wednesday, as the benchmark added 1.25% or 89.24 points to close at 7,228.68 points.
The benchmark hit its most high level since 8 November on the purchases of the institutions.
The benchmark went up 2.1% to 1,339.64 points, while the small and mid-caps index inched down 0.08% to 361.17 points.
On other hand, the broader index edged down 0.48% 769.25 points.
The market total trading value amounted to EGP 1.02 million, with 600.9 million shares changed hands.
Out 172 stocks traded today, advancers outnumbered decliners by 106 to 43 , while 22 stocks remained unchanged.
The local and foreign investors came net buyers with EGP 20.8 million and EGP 8.9 million respectively, while Arab investors came as net sellers with EGP 28.9 million.
Institutions came as net buyers, while retail investors came as net sellers.
