Egypt’s bourse drifts lower in midday trade

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) moved lower in Monday’s session midday trade on selling activities by both local and foreign investors.

The benchmark index EGX30 fell 4.62% reaching the level of 5,815 points.

The market blue chip extended declining, topped by Commercial International Bank, Palm Hills and Talaat Moustafa .

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 edged down 2.16% to 346.75 points, while the broader index EGX100 lost 2.19% to 695.67 points.

The market witnessed 155.3 million changed hands worth EGP 295.3 million, carried out through more than 13,000 transactions.
