Egypt's bourse edges higher in early trade

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) kicked off Sunday's session in green zone, as the benchmark index EGX30 added 0.19% to 6,682 points.

The stock of Orascom Telecom Media have topped today's, early trade, trading value with EGP 16.1 million, while the heavy weighed Commercial International Bank edged up 1.78% to EGP 35.9 with trading value of 11 million.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.34% to 365.3 points; while the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.1%.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 slid 0.3% to 1,138 points.

Tracking stock performance, the stocks of Misr Oils, Alexandria National Co., El Kahera El Watania Investment, Misr Hotels and Prime Holding went up by 7.9% to 9.9%.

Arab and foreign investors came as net buyers with EGP 1.5 million and EGP 956 respectively, while local investors came as net sellers with EGP 2.4 million.
