Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened on a positive note in Sunday's early trade.
The benchmark index EGX30 added 0.19% reaching 7,019 points on local and Arab investors’ buying.
The stocks of Commercial International Bank - Egypt, Talaat Moustafa, Orascom Construction Industries and Emaar Misr went up by percentages from 0.4% to 1.2%.
On other hand, the stocks of EFG-Hermes, Palm Hills, Global Telecom and Telecom Egypt slid by percentages from 0.1% to 1%.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.23% to 379.6 points, while the broader index EGX100 gained 0.18% to 792 points.
Similarly, the equal-weighted index EGX50 edged up 0.15% to 1,202.4 points.
Sunday's early trade witnessed 40 million shares exchanged at a value of EGP 62 million, through 2,600 transactions.
Local and Arab investors came as net buyers with EGP 138,000 and EGP 513,000 respectively, while foreign investors came as net sellers with EGP 651,000.
