Egypt's bourse edges lower in early trade

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices edged lower on Monday's early trade, as the benchmark index EGX30 inched down 0.02% to 6,706 points.

The heavy weight Commercial International Bank went up 0.91%, while Beltone Holding gained 0.76%.

The small and mid - cap index EGX70 slide 0.44% to 364.7 points, while the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.37% to 760 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 eased 0.30% to 1,141.3 points.

Monday's early trade witnessed 26 million shares changed hands, worth EGP 53.5 million that traded through 1,600 transactions.

Local and Arab investors came as net sellers with EGP 2 million and EGP 906,000 respectively, while foreign investors came as net buyers with EGP 1.9 million.
