Egypt's bourse edges lower in early trade

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices moved lower in Monday's early trade on Arab investors selling spree.

The benchmark index EGX30 edged down 0.30% to 7,068 points.

The stocks of Commercial International Bank, Orascom Media, Porto Group, Talaat Moustafa, Palm Hills, EFG-Hermes and Pioneers went down within the range of 1% to 5%.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 slid 0.61% to 381.3 points; while the broader index EGX100 fell 0.55% to 791.9 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted index EGX50 lost 0.60% to 1,202.4 points.

The trading values reached EGP 105 million, in Monday's early trade, with 67 million shares changed hand through 4,200 transactions.

Local and foreign investors came as net buyers with EGP 2.4 million and EGP 1.2 million respectively, while Arab investors came as net sellers with EGP 3.6 million.
