Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) snapped its four-day winning streak on Monday, as the benchmark index EGX30 eased 0.17% or 22.9 points to close at 13,264.8 points.
The small and medium caps index EGX70 gained 0.95% to close at 477.37 points, while the broader index EGX100 added 0.29% to close at 1,158.7 points.
The equal weighted index EGX50 slipped 0.15% to close at 471.1 points.
The market witnessed 471.1 million shares changed hands worth EGP 1.48 million.
Local investors were net sellers with EGP 158.1 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 9.7 million and EGP 148.4 million respectively.
Retail investors were net sellers with EGP 52.1 million, while institutions were net buyers.
Today’s top performing stocks were Domty, up 6.0%, Egypt Kuwait Holding, up 4.6%, and CIB, up 3.0%, while worst performing stocks included ACC, down 4.4%, Global Telecom, down 3.9%, and Palm Hills, down 3.4%.
