Egypt's bourse ends in green zone

Cairo - Mubahser: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) advanced collectively on Sunday, as the benchmark index EGX30 added 0.57% or 37.8 points to close at the level of 6,707 points on the institutions buying.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 gained 0.62% to 366 points, while the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.28% to 763 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 advanced 0.22% to 1,144 points.

The heavy weighed Commercial International Bank (CIB) leaped 1.9% to EGP 36, with trading value of EGP 35.9 million.

The market capitalisation gained EGP 748 million ($95.7 million) to reach EGP 422.3 million

Sunday's market total turnover recorded EGP 707.9 million.  

Arab and foreign investors came as net sellers with EGP 2.2 million and EGP 3.6 million respectively, while local investors came as net buyers with EGP 5.8 million.

Institutions came as net buyers, especially the local ones, while retail traders were net sellers.
