Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s indices extended their rally for the second day in a row, as the benchmark EGX30 went up 1.3% or 78.6 points to close at 6,086.5 points.
The small and mid-caps index added 0.47% to 353.9 points, while the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.9% to 717.7 points.
Similarly, the equal weighted index gained 1.45% to 1,126.5 points.
The market capitalisation advanced by EGP 2.6 billion ($333.7 million), reaching EGP 390.6 billion.
Today’s total turnover amounted to EGP 424.5 million.
Out of 157 stocks traded today, advancers outnumbered decliners by 87 to 34 while 36 stocks remained unchanged.
Arab and foreign investors stepped in as net buyers with EGP 14.9 million and EGP 7.5 million respectively, while local investors ended as net sellers with EGP 22.4 million.
