Egypt's bourse extends gains in late trade

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX)moved higher in Thursday's late trade supported by Arab and foreign buying.

The benchmark index EGX30 went up 2.7% to 6,664.7 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 added 1.9% to 1,141.06 points.

Similarly, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 advanced 1.24% to 363.6 points, while the broader index EGX100 leaped 1.15% to 760.35 points.

Thursday's late trade witnessed changed hands of 322.7 million shares, worth 532 million through 17,150 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors came as net buyers with EGP 19 million and EGP 29.3 million respectively, while local investors came as net sellers with EGP 18.2 million.
