Egypt's bourse extends gains in midday trade

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) moved higher on Sunday's midday trade on the local investors buying.

The benchmark index EGX30 added 0.74% or 49.6 points to 6,719 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.87% to 367.2 points; while the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.49% to 764.7 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted index EGX50 leaped 0.57% to 1,148 points.

The heavy weight Commercial International Bank topped the trading values with trades worth EGP 23.8 million.

Sunday's midday trade witnessed total turnover of EGP 585.3 million.

Arab and foreign investors came as net buyers with EGP 160,000 and EGP 1.8 million respectively, while local investors came as net sellers with EGP 1.98 million.
