Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) continued its positive performance through Monday’s trading session amid remarkable buying activity by local investors.
The benchmark index EGX30 advanced 3.12% reaching the level of 5,939.83 points.
The stocks of Commercial International Bank surged 4.6% to EGP 32.26.
Meanwhile, the stocks of Talaat Moustafa, Palm Hills and Orascom Telecom Media went up to the price levels of EGP 0.55, EGP1 and EGP 5.56 respectively.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 advanced 2.45% reaching the level of 339.44 points, while the broader index EGX100 surged 1.99% to 694.1 points.
Foreign and Arab investors stepped in as net sellers with EGP 37.96 million and 36.17 million respectively while local investors came out as net buyers with EGP 1.8 million.
The market turnover stood at EGP 218.8 million with 157.62 million shares changed hand through 9,800 transactions carried out.
