Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices extended their gains through Tuesday on Arab investors buying activity, while the benchmark index EGX30 added 2.69% reaching the level of 6,100 points.
The stocks of Commercial International Bank, Orascom Telecom Media and Talaat Moustafa surged to the price levels of EGP 32.9, EGP 0.58 and EGP 5.7 respectively.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 leaped 2.99% to 351.8 points, while the broader index EGX100 added 1.95% to 708.7 points.
The equal-weight index EGX50 climbed 3.18% to 1,076.89 points.
On Tuesday midday trade, the market witnessed 213.1 million shares changed hand worth EGP 311.49 million carried out through 13,870 transactions.
