Egypt’s bourse halts trading session as EGX100 sags 5%

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) decided to halt Thursday is trading session, after the broader index EGX100 dropped 5%.

The benchmark index EGX30 fell 5.52% to 5,861.5 points by late trade.

 In Thursday’s midday session, the benchmark broke below the level of 6,000 points, for the first time since 13 October 2013.
