Egypt’s bourse kicks off Sunday’s session on positive note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices surged collectively in Sunday’s session early trading lead by the purchases of the local investors.

The benchmark index EGX30 gained 2.85% to 7,387 points.

The equal weighted index EGX50 went up 1.55% to 1,326 points. Following suit the small and mid-caps index EGX70  inched up 0.02% to 354 points.

The broader index EGX100 , also added 0.50% to 757 points.

The market witnessed 46.5 million stocks changed hands worth EGP 73 million, excited through 2,400 transactions.

Local investors came as net buyers with EGP 9.6 million, while Arab and foreign investors came as net sellers with EGP 5.3 million and EGP 4.3 million respectively.

The stocks of Sixth of October for Development (SODIC) surged 5.43%, followed by both Talaat Moustafa and Samad Misr as they added 5.15% and 4.83% respectively.
