Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices drift lower in Sunday’s early trading, as the benchmark index EGX30 inched down 0.12% or 9.78 points reaching the level of 8,021 points.
The benchmark index EGX70 went up 0.15% to 364.4 points, while the broader index EGX100 added 0.14% to 783.6 points.
The equal weighted index EGX50 inched up 0.1% to 1,390.7 points.
The market’s leading stocks showed mixed performance, as EGX30’s largest constituent and Egypt’s largest private bank, CIB rose 2% following the announcement of its financial results for the second quarter of 2016, where its profits increased 28%.
The stocks of EFG-Hermes, Beltone Financial, Global Telecom, Talaat Moustafa and Ezz Steel went up by 0.8% to 7%.
Sunday’s early trading witnessed 11 million shares changed hands worth EGP 40.7 million.
