Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) kicked off Wednesday’ trading session on mixed note, as the benchmark index EGX30 drifted lower 0.38% or 23 points reaching the level of 5,986.26 points.
The stocks of Commercial International Bank, Talaat Moustafa Group and EFG- Hermes went down 0.78%, 0.98% and 0.42% respectively.
The equal weighed index EGX50 edged down 0.40% to 1,095 points, while the small and mid-caps index EGX70 inched up 0.05% to 349.4 points.
The broader index EGX100 sagged 0.06% to 703.3 points.
The market trading value, in Wednesday early trade, reached EGP 31 million upon trading 12 million shares carried out through 1,200 transactions.
Local investors came as net sellers with EGP 1.62 million, while Arab and foreign investors came as net buyers with EGP 1.6 million and EGP 18,000 respectively.
