Egypt's bourse opens on positive note

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices advanced collectively in Thursday's early trade, as the benchmark index EGX30 added 2% to 6,542 points on foreign buying.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.55% to 351 points; while the broader index EGX100 gained 0.56% to 764 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 advanced 1.35% to 1,117 points.

The market total turnover recorded EGP 66 million, on trading 62 million shares, through 1,900 transactions  

Local and Arab investors came as net sellers with EGP 1.7 million and EGP 1.8 million respectively, while foreign investors came as net buyers with EGP 3.5 million.

EGX is expected to move higher on Thursday, to resume the previous session's late trade trend, technical analysts told Mubasher in earlier statement.
