Egypt’s bourse opens on positive note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) moved higher in Wednesday’s early trading, as the benchmark index EGX30 added 0.79% or 62.7 points reaching the level of 8,036 points on buying activity by local investors.

The equal weighted index EGX50 inched up 0.69% to 1,385.22 points.

On other hand, the small and medium  - caps index EGX70 eased 0.53% to 359.57 points, while the broader index EGX100 edged down 0.05% to 785.35 points.

Local and Arab investors were buyers with EGP 9.4 million and EGP 8.44 million respectively, while foreign investors sellers with EGP 17.8 million.

The market witnessed 35 million shares changed hands in early trading worth EGP 162.4 million
