Egypt’s bourse opens on positive note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) kicked off Thursday session on positive note amid buying activity by Arab and foreign investors.

The benchmark index EGX30 added 0.28% to 12,644.5 points.

The small and medium caps index EGX70 gained 0.30% to 466.29 points, while the broader index EGX100 went up 0.11% to 1,112.2 points.

The equal weighted index edged up 0.61% to 1,983.26 points.

Thursday early trading witnessed 49.5 million shares changed hands worth EGP 199.4 million, carried out through 3,861 transactions.
