Egypt's bourse rebounds in midday trade

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices rebounded collectively in Monday's midday trade after swinging in early trade.

The benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.96% or 65 points to reach 6,772.3 points.

The stocks of Commercial International Bank (CIB), Beltone Holding, EFG-Hermes, Palm Hills, Global Telecom, SODIC, Amer Group and Orascom Telecom Media surged by 1.2% to 4.6%.

The small and mid - cap index EGX70 inched up 0.08% to 366.6 points, while the broader index EGX100 edged up 0.08% to 366.6 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 added 0.45% to 1, 1149.9 points.

The market's turnover reached EGP 332 million, with 234 million shares changed hands through 12.4 transactions.

Foreign and Arab investors came as net buyers with EGP 12.6 million and EGP 4.5 million respectively, while Arab investors came as net sellers with EGP 17.6 million.
