Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed on negative note on Sunday, to snap six – day win streak, as the benchmark index EGX30 went down 1.36% or 169 points to close at 12,251.06 points.
The small and medium caps index EGX70 slide 1.7% or 7.87 points to close at 453.8 points, while the broader index EGX100 eased 1.42% or 15.65 points to close at 1,084.4 points.
The equal weighed index EGX50 went down 1.51% to close at 1,913.6 points.
The market witnessed 251.6 million shares changed hands worth EGP 966.7 million.
Local investors ended as net sellers with EGP 660 million, while Arab and foreign investors ended as net buyers with EGP 15.9 million and EGP 644.1 million respectively.
The market capitalization shed EGP 9.7 billion reaching EGP 598.9 billion.
