Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said Thursday it would auction EGP 8.5 billion in treasury bills.
The EGP 8.5 billion will be offered through two auctions: a 182-day auction at a value of EGP 4 billion and a 357-day auction at a value EGP 4.5 billion.
The country's budget deficit widened to EGP 138.5 billion, or 4.9% of gross domestic product (GDP) within 5 months during the period July –November FY 2015/16, against EGP 107.9 billion or 4.4% of GDP for the similar period of the previous year.
