Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt will issue treasury bonds Monday at a total value of EGP 6 billion.
The EGP 6 billion will be offered through three tranches: one and half-year bonds at a value of EGP 1 billion; three-year bonds at EGP 3.25 billion; and seven-year bonds at EGP 1.75 billion.
The country's budget deficit widened to EGP 177 billion, or 5.9% of gross domestic product (GDP), during the first half of 2015/16, compared with EGP 132 billion or 6.7% of GDP for the year-ago period.
