Egypt’s cabinet greenlights draft law to exempt bonds offered abroad from taxes

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s cabinet greenlighted a draft law to exempt the revenues from bonds offered abroad from all taxes and charges.  

Under the new draft law, bonds issued by the government and offered to overseas investors will be exempt from all taxes and charges, according to a statement on Wednesday. 

On 4 November, the government approved a draft law for the issuance of sovereign sukuk, the Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, said
