Egypt’s cabinet nods to $200m finance deal to support entrepreneurship

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s cabinet approved a proposed presidential decree concerning a finance agreement worth $200 million between the Egyptian government and the World Bank.

The deal aims to support entrepreneurship and create more job opportunities by financing small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the cabinet said in a statement on Wednesday.

The project will invest in privately managed risk capital intermediaries along with fund coaching opportunities for businesses, the statement added.
