Egypt's car sales go up 36% in 4M

Cairo – Mubasher: Car sales in the Egyptian market jumped 35.9% to 49,000 units in the first four months of 2018, compared to 36,000 units in the year-ago period.

Chevrolet saw the highest sales volume with a 25.2% market share, followed by Hyundai with 17%, Nissan with 16.4%, Renault with 7.2%, Toyota with 6.9%, and KIA with 4.3%, Almalnews newspaper reported, citing Automotive Marketing Information Council (AMIC) as saying. 

Truck sales surged 65.8% from January-April period of 2018, AMIC added.

Earlier in May, AMIC noted that car sales went up 32.3% to 35,100 units during the first quarter of 2018 on a yearly basis.
