Egypt’s consumption of Gasoline 95 Excellium rises to 2% in April – Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Sales of Gasoline 95 Excellium, which was launched in the market in late February, have increased to average around 530,000 litres per day by the end of April, minister of petroleum Tarek El Molla has said.

Sales of Gasoline 95, not the Gasoline 95 Excellium, had reached 110,000 litres per day by the end of May 2017, which means that the increase between March and April 2018 had exceeded 480% for the newly-modified fuel type, he added in a statement released on Thursday.

The launch of the Gasoline 95 Excellium has resulted in a rise in overall consumption and sales of the Gasoline 95 to 2% in April compared to 0.4% in June, El-Molla said.

Gasoline 95 Excellium is currently available at Exxon Mobil and Total fuel stations, the minister further revealed, noting that other stations will begin offering the modified fuel type soon.
