Egypt's core inflation rises to 7.44% in November

Cairo-Mubasher: Egypt's core monthly inflation reached 0.96% in November, compared with 1.23% in October, the state's central bank said on Thursday.

Annual inflation rose to 7.44%, compared with 6.26% in the previous month.

The general index of consumer prices declined 0.30% month-on-month in November after rising 2.17% in October, according to the data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The decline was attributable to a 7.6% fall in vegetable prices and 1.3% decrease in fish and seafood prices, CAPMAS said.
