Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports to member states of the African Union (AU) surged 27.4% year-on-year in 2018.
Egyptian exports to these countries grew to $4.73 billion in 2018, compared to $3.71 billion in the year-ago period, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics.
Around ten of AU member states accounted for 80.9% of the North African country’s total exports during 2018.
Algeria topped African importers from Egypt in 2018, as the value of the Algerian imports from the most populous Arab country reached $979.2 million.
