Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports to the European Union increased by 8.6% year-on-year during the first six months of 2019, according to data released by the Egyptian Commercial Service.
Egyptian exports to the EU reached EUR 4.6 billion in H1-19, compared to EUR 4.26 billion in the year-ago period.
The North African country’s imports from the EU surged 15% to EUR 9.6 billion in H1-19, from EUR 8.3 billion the year before.
From January to the end of June, bilateral trade between Egypt and the EU increased by 13% year-on-year to EUR 14.2 billion.
