Egypt's external debt falls $2bn at end-September

Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said the country's external debt declined nearly $2 billion to reach $46.1 billion at the end of September.

The decline was attributed mainly to the increase in paid loans and facilities during the period from July to September 2015/2016.

The external debt service burdens (medium and long-term) reached $2.4 billion during the same period.

The domestic debt amounted to EGP 2.116  trillion at the end of June 2015.
