Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's external debt increased by 3.6% till the end of December, 2015 (the second quarter of the fiscal year 2015/2016), the central bank said on Tuesday.
The country's external debt hit $47.79 billion by the end of 2015, compared with $46.15 billion at the end of the first quarter, according to a report released by the Central Bank of Egypt.
The report also showed that Egypt‘s public debt amounted to EGP 2.37 trillion till the end of the fourth quarter, compared with EGP 2.25 trillion till the end of the third quarter of 2015.
