Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s food exports to the European Union (EU) countries grew by 9% year-on-year to $361 million in 2018, Food Export Council’s (FEC) chairman Hani Berzi said.
The North African nation’s food exports to EU countries accounted for 13% of the total food exports last year, according to a statement on Monday.
Germany topped Egypt's food export destinations with $70 million, rising by 20% year-on-year in 2018 and accounting for 19% of Egypt’s total food exports to EU countries.
Egyptian exports of frozen strawberries to Germany reached 22,000 tonnes valued at $27 million last year.
