Egypt's gov't expected to invest EGP 24bn in higher education in FY20/21

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of planning and economic development Hala El-Saeed revealed that the expected government investments in the higher education and scientific research sectors are projected to reach EGP 24 billion in fiscal year 2020/2021.

Part of these investments will be used to build six technology universities in several governorates, El-Saeed said on Tuesday before the parliament.

Moreover, government investments in the health sector are forecast to reach EGP 21 billion in FY20/21. The plan includes the development of 79 hospitals and 294 primary health care units.
