Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s consumer price index (CPI) registered 109.9 points in October, rising by 2.3% from September, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said in a statement on Tuesday.
The secondary and vocational school fees increased by 56.6%, preschool and primary education school fees by 20.1%, and higher education fees by 13.2%, while prices of meat and poultry rose by 1.2%, ready-made garments by 0.2%, outpatient services by 0.6%, and hospitality services by 13.5%.
On the other hand, prices of fruits declined by 7.9%, grains and bread by 0.4%, and fish and seafood by 0.4%.
