Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s comprehensive health insurance system will cost the country EGP 210 billion, in case of extending the insurance coverage to all 100 million people, at a cost of EGP 2,100 per person, Akhbar El-Yom reported on Tuesday, citing the finance minister Mohamed Maait as saying.
The Egyptian government is gradually implementing the new healthcare system, Maait added.
The cost of implementing the comprehensive healthcare insurance system will reach EGP 610 billion after 15 years, at a cost of EGP 6,000 per person, he noted.
