Egypt’s heaviest weight CIB plunges to 18-month low

Cairo – Mubasher: The stock of Commercial International Bank, the heaviest weight on Cairo bourse, plummeted Thursday to its lowest level in 18 months, as investors continued to dump the stock.

Nearly half an hour before session-close, CIB stock hovered around EGP 31, which is the lowest price since 27 July, 2014.

The bank’s GDRs also fell by 2.77% to $3.5 on London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Egypt’s main index fell by 5.52% to reach 5,861.5 points ahead of session close.
