Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Housing’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has allocated EGP 9.25 billion to establish facilities in New 6th October City.
These investments will be directed to infrastructure works and electricity networks of the first phase and an electric substation, according to the master plan of the new city reviewed by Mubasher.
Set for completion in 2020, infrastructure works and electricity networks of the first phase include water and wastewater projects as well as roads in the Administrative Control Authority’s (ACA) 3,400-feddan land, the 1,800-feddan luxury housing land, and the 850-feddan social housing land, in addition to setting up a water tank with a capacity of 50,000 cubic metres.
By June 2020, 25% of infrastructure works, 15% of electricity networks, and 25% of the substation are expected to be complete.
