Egypt’s housing ministry completes 106 water, wastewater projects

Cairo – Egypt: Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development Mostafa Madboly on Saturday announced the completion of 106 water and wastewater projects in Greater Cairo and Alexandria, with a total cost of over EGP 6.56 billion in three years.

Another 35 projects have been completed in the new cities, with a total cost of EGP 6.84 billion, the ministry added.

The completed projects in Greater Cairo and Alexandria included 19 wastewater projects and 16 water projects, which serve 11.77 million people, Madboly revealed.

The water and wastewater agency stated that the cost of the projects executed between 2016 and 2017 had reached EGP 4.19 billion.
