Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development will invest EGP 522 million in a number of sports clubs as a part of the ministry’s plan to establish sports complexes in Egypt’s new cities.
The ministry has built two clubs in the 10th of Ramadan city and New Tiba at a total cost of EGP 75 million and EGP 50 million, respectively, Egypt’s housing minister Mostafa Madbouli said in a statement.
The government is currently setting up five clubs in the 10th of Ramadan city, Obour city, New Aswan, Shorouk city, and New Qena, he noted.
The 10th of Ramadan’s club will be implemented at a cost of EGP 53 million on a 17-acre land plot, while Obour city’s club will be built at a cost of EGP 100 million spanning 13-acre land plot, he mentioned.
The Shorouk city’s club will be established over 18-acre land plot at a cost of EGP 102 million, while the new Aswan’s club will be executed at a cost of EGP 53 million on a 17-acre land plot and New Qena’s club will be built over 15-acre land plot at a cost of EGP 89 million, he continued.
The minister indicated that a board of director will be formed for each club after the completion of construction.
