Egypt’s housing ministry invests EGP 65.6bn in Upper Egypt since 2014

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Housing has injected total investments of EGP 65.6 billion into Upper Egypt governorates since 2014, the country’s housing minister Assem El-Gazzar said.

The most populous Arab nation focuses on developing governorates in the Upper Egypt region in line with Egypt vision 2030, El-Gazzar added in a statement on Monday.

Currently, nine fourth-generation new cities are being established in Upper Egypt to host 4.5 million people, creating 1.4 million jobs as 10% of the area of these cities are allocated for industrial activities and workshops.

In addition, tourism projects will be constructed over an area of 1,050 feddans overlooking the Nile River, he noted.
