Egypt’s int’l reserves up $53m in February – CBE

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s net foreign reserves increased by $53 million month-on-month during February, according to official data.

Net foreign reserves held by the North African nation levelled up to $45.509 billion at the end of last month, compared to $45.456 billion at the end of January, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Monday.

It is noteworthy to mention that in October 2019, the CBE signed an agreement with the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to extend the maturity of Saudi deposits held by the CBE.
